ALL YOU CAN WEED
This full moon, we invite you for a Wild Food Walk in Laksevåg.
We believe in the principle ‘You won’t care for what you don’t know’. Knowing what is alive in the green spaces around you - and eating from it - creates a strong relationship with nature and a sense of stewardship.
What better way to learn than through a city safari where we touch, smell and taste our way to knowledge? We gather plant interested people of Bergen for a walk and open discussion about edible wild plants, native and non-native (‘Invasive’) species, common garden plants in Bergen and their effect on local ecosystems.
There is an open structure in the event, where everyone's knowledge is valued and all are encouraged to share and ask. We start the evening around Damsgård Hovedgård, making our way to Bioregion Institute for a bonfire and ‘All You Can Weed’ buffet - you guessed it, plenty of wild greens to taste!
